At Tuesday’s meeting, the Council issued a statement relating to the unfortunate incident involving a Salt Lake City police officer and a University of Utah nurse. Read the full statement here.
The Council also discussed proposed changes to the City’s Accessory Dwelling Units regulations. Council Members indicated their support for allowing ADUs throughout the City, not just within a particular boundary, which is in the proposed ordinance. The Council will continue to discuss ADUs in the coming weeks and will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 19 and October 3 at 7 p.m.
Additionally, the Council discussed projects in the Northwest Quadrant, including the relocation of the Utah State Prison, its impact on various economic development efforts, and a general schedule for items the Council will consider in the coming months.
