Meeting Agendas

Council Meetings usually include a work session and a formal meeting. Work sessions normally begin at 2:00 p.m.* and formal meetings normally begin at 7:00 p.m.

During Work Sessions, the Council receives information and discusses items relating to City business. During Formal Meetings, the Council receives public comment and takes action to adopt proposals into law. Both work session and formal meeting agendas are found below.

Meetings in addition to those listed below may be held or canceled as circumstances may require, subject to applicable public notice requirements. Not all formal meetings include a public comment period.

New Agenda Process:

At Salt Lake City Government, we’re committed to making digital access to information, City services and your elected officials as easy and efficient as possible.

The City Council is transitioning to a new agenda process and it means our agendas have a new look. Below are a few tips to help navigate the new system.

  • To receive meeting agenda, select the “Notifications” tab and fill in the pertinent information. You will receive an email containing Council meeting agendas at least 24 hours prior to the meetings.
  • The “Search Meetings” tab will allow you to search by date range or keyword for agenda topics/items of interest.
  • The “Meetings & Agendas” tab contains all Council meeting agendas, meeting videos, and minutes.
    • Web/Video allows you to watch the Council meeting while viewing the agenda and supporting documents.
    • Agenda a PDF version of the agenda only.
    • Packet contains the meeting agenda and supporting documents.
